Lakehead men’s and women’s varsity wrestling teams were howling at the Brock Open in St. Catharine’s, Ontario Saturday as the men took team gold and the women team silver.

 

Four men took individual golds (Gaston Tardiff, Clayton Serreres, Andrew Elliot, and Dave Rector) and two took silvers (Mustafa Mohammad and Josh Schug).  Brandon Gardner was injured in his first match and did not place.  The men were first in the varsity standings and second in the club standings to the Brock Club team. 

 

Lakehead’s women placed second to the host Badgers.  Nicole Plummer took individual gold and Alex Demars and Jesssica Gerorde took bronzes.
