Plummer Takes National Jr. Gold

The Lakehead Thunderwolves had a fantastic day at the Canadian National Junior Wrestling Championships in Charlottetown, PEI on Friday as Wolves Freshman sensation Nicole Plummer took national gold in the 82 kg weight class. 
 
Plummer adds this to her OUA Gold Medal, CIS Bronze Medal, and OUA Rookie of the Year honours as well a multiple meet gold medals during her incredible freshman season. 
 
The junior nationals is for wrestlers aged 18-20.  Action continues Saturday with Lakeheadís other seven wrestlers, Brandon Gardner (66 kg), Chadd Lee (74 kg), Corey Lee (OUA Gold Medalist; OUA Rookie of the Year; 84 kg), Josh Schug (120 kg),  Leah Daugherty (59 kg; OUA Bronze Medalist), Jessica Fortin (67 kg), and Katelyn Proulx (67 kg), hitting the mats Saturday.
