Lakehead University

This weekend at the Ontario provincial championships the Lakehead Junior varsity wrestling teams won both the Women’s and Men's Provincial team titles in Orillia, Ontario on Saturday.  Lakehead’s men won three golds and three bronzes while the women won two golds and a bronze for a total medal haul of five golds and four bronzes.  

 

Lakehead Head Coach Owen Dawkins was very pleased with his young charges on the day.  “This was a great showing for our young and up and coming wrestlers.  I think that the future for our men's and women’s team looks great.”

 

Lakehead’s wrestlers return to action Sunday in Toronto at the University of Toronto Open Meet.
