Tasha Eady graduates from Lakehead with a nursing degree as well as a basket full of international, national, conference, and Lakehead honours earned on the mats as a varsity Wolves wrestler.
 
 
The Renfrew, Ontario native took many wrestling awards in her four year career at Lakehead including a Bronze medal at the World Junior championships in 2004 in Austria; which she considers the highlight of her wrestling career.  That year she was also Canadian junior champion.
 
Eady also captured an OUA bronze this year but her biggest year may have been 2007; when she took OUA gold and was named OUA Championships MVP.  She also captured a CIS national championships bronze medal. 
 
Eady also played for the Wolves Women's Club Rugby team this year and earned the team's Most Valuable Player Award this season.

1) What are your fondest memories as a Lakehead varsity athlete?
Eady: The friendships made within the wrestling team, the support and encouragement given from each athlete, working through tough times as a team, and the successes achieved because of our team atmosphere and hard work..
 
2) What do you think was your top athletic achievement or performance as a Lakehead Varsity Athlete?
Eady: Becoming a world medallist because its something I would have never thought I could ever achieve.
 
3) What did being a Lakehead varsity athlete teach you that will help you in your life after university?
Eady: It taught me the value of a good work ethic, dedication, how to overcome obstacles, time management and commitment.
 
4) What are you plans after graduating from Lakehead? 
Eady: I will be working as a nurse in Thunder Bay. After some experience I am going to be a travel nurse in various countries around the world.
