Former Wolves Wrestler 7th at Worlds
October 13th, 2008

Former Lakehead Thunderwolves wrestler Katie Patroch placed seventh Saturday at the World Wrestling Championships held in Tokyo, Japan.
Patroch, the Canadian senior national champion, wrestled in the 59 kg weight class where she went 2-1 in competition; losing to Sabrina Esposito of Italy in the quarterfinals.
Patroch’s weight class of 59 kg is not one of the Olympic weight classes; of which there are only four for some strange reason; compared to eight for men.
