Lakehead tests competition at Brock Open

Brock Curtis and his Thunderwolves wrestling teams will look to parlay a strong
first half of the season into success in 2010 starting this Saturday at the
Brock Open Wrestling Tournament at the Bob Davis Gym in the Walker Center
Complex at St. Catharines, Ontario. The double-elimination tournament features
competition in 10 male and eight female weight classes starting at 9:00 a.m.
“The holidays
allowed many of our wrestlers to overcome nagging injuries,” says coach Curtis.
“We still have injuries to some of our wrestlers and won’t be sending our entire
roster which will have an effect on our overall teams standings.”
Injuries to
freshman Preston Mikulasik and junior Colten Woznow will keep both athletes out
of the event while neither of the Lee brothers – Chadd and Corey – will be
making the trip south.
