Breanne Hilhorst at 5'4”is a serving/ defensive specialist.  Breanne’s tenure atKillarney Collegiate under the guidance of Dean Kachur, ended with a Bronze medal at MHSAA “AA” Provincials. Breanne also played for Club West under the direction of Ms. Becky Young Capturing 12th place out of 80 Teams at Volleyball Canada’s National Championships in May.  Breanne brings an amazing amount of athleticism and drive to the Thunderwolves.  Her desire and passion is contagious and will compliment the current Thunderwolves. Breanne ended her High School playing days as a Provincial All Star and was recognized as an MHSAA Graduating All Star. She leaves high school with an 88%+ average.  Her parents are Beverlee and Travis and she has a younger sister, Cejay.

“In communicating with Dean, it became very clear that these three young ladies from Killarney, are focused athletes, committed athletes and passionate about playing at the next level.Over their high school volleyball tenure, the 3 played in 6 provincial finals including club seasons and medaled 8 times.  Once you meet them and work with them, these descriptions detail a true picture. They bring experience and success with them. I am excited to add their athleticism and personalities to our team. Today we have improved.  With their commitment to Lakehead University Thunderwolves,  it is my opinion that we have taken a step ahead in our daily training. I am pleased to add these three athletes from such a strong region of Manitoba Volleyball. I want to thank Dean Kachur for his help and direction; his work is clearly evident. This is his 4th athlete from this team to pursue excellence at the CIS level.”
